Report: Ben Simmons Foot Still Not Healthy

on

Philadelphia 76ers number one overall pick Ben Simmons was supposed to be sidelined until at least mid January after suffering a Jones fracture in his right foot during training camp. He underwent surgery on September 30 and was estimated to miss about three months of action.

Latest tests revealed that an inside part of the broken bone in his foot has not completely healed, according to Philly.com’s Keith Pompey, and could take some more time.

Simmons has come on as of late and participated in on court drills, but the Sixers have kept him out of 5 on 5 scrimmages for the fear of causing further damage to his foot. According to coach Brett Brown “There’s no rush.”

There is no timetable for Simmons return as it looks like he’ll be shelved for the remainder of the year. Trust the process Philadelphia.
