The Cleveland Cavaliers have a chance to come back from 3-1

on

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors are battling in the NBA Finals for the second straight year. Last year the Cavaliers were plagued with injuries including two huge series morphing injuries to their second and third best players, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Due to these injuries we could not fully enjoy the clash of the two best teams in the NBA and almost every Cavalier fan proclaimed that the Cavaliers would have won if it wasn’t for these injuries.

This year the Golden State Warriors got even better and finished the season with the best record in NBA history (73-9) while the Cleveland Cavaliers finished the season with 4 more wins than they did the previous year (Finished season with 57-25 record) and the best record in the Eastern conference. During this season the Golden State Warriors were 2-0 against the Cleveland Cavaliers and now they are in the middle of a very entertaining NBA Finals series. The Golden State Warriors are winning the series as they are up 3-1 and game five is tomorrow night Monday June 13th, 2016. The Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled to score against the Warriors incredible defense throughout this series but the Cavaliers have been able to limit Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson to scoring numbers much lower than Warriors fans are use to seeing.

Because of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry’s large decline in productivity Draymond Green has played big and is the front runner for Finals MVP through the first four games. But Draymond Green has struggled with keeping his intensity at a calm level as he has found himself suspended from game five due to too many technical fouls during their playoff run. Because Green is out Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry are both going to have to play big and score a lot, but with the way the Cleveland Cavaliers have defended them throughout this series it is hard to see either of them having a very impactful game.

With Draymond Green out for game five and the Cavaliers playing as tough as ever because their backs are against the wall, it seems that the Cavaliers could easily win this game. If the Cavaliers do pull it off and extend the series at least one more game they will have all the momentum and their next game would be in Cleveland. With momentum, home court advantage, and of course the best player in the world, LeBron James, the Cavaliers could definitely win game six as well. That would leave the series up to a Championship determining game seven in Oakland. With Draymond Green back and home court advantage it would seem like the Warriors would undoubtedly win this game and their second straight NBA Championship. There is no doubt this game would be physical, intense, and one to remember. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green will more than likely play their usual great basketball and that is why this game would ultimately be determined by LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers.
