Detroit the most likely landing spot for Kyrie?

The Kyrie Irving rumor mill continues again as the Detroit Pistons reportedly expressed their interest in acquiring the veteran point guard as the Detroit Free Press reported, today, that the most likely landing spot for Irving is the Pistons. Detroit has been working this off season to hopefully improve on their 37-45 season last year and make a run in the depleted east.

So far this off season, the biggest waves the Pistons have made is acquiring shooting guard Avery Bradley who will add much needed scoring and perimeter shooting from their guard position to free up space down low for their coveted big man, Andre Drummond. If the Pistons are able to make a deal that sends Kyrie Irving to Detroit than the tandem of Bradley and Irving would be very dangerous in the soft Eastern Conference.

Detroit has a case to make for them is a good landing spot for Kyrie, as their roster has many young players such as; Stanley Johnson, Luke Kennard, and Henry Ellenson. Which is something that Cleveland is looking to get for their star point guard? However, it is important to note that Kyrie has expressed that he will not be looking to sign an extended contract with whatever team he is traded to. So this could be just a two year rental as the last year of his contract is a player option. The next few weeks or months should be interesting as we find out where Kyrie lands and what deal was made to send him there.
