Durant to Re-Sign With Warriors

Golden State Warriors forward and reigning Finals MVP Kevin Durant has signed a 2-year/$53 million deal to remain with the team. He was already expected to sign for less than $37 million to keep the Warriors core intact. He will process a player option in his second year. This deal is approximately worth $9.3 million less than the max.

Andre Iguodala recently signed a 3-year/$48 million deal along with David West who agreed to the vets minimum to stay with the team for his last season and Livingston who signed a 3-year/$24 million dollar deal.

Kevin Durant’s pay cut helped Golden State keep the bird rights to the contracts of Livingston and Iguodala. Sources say Durant was willing to take even less to restock the team if Iguodala left.
