Lonzo Ball Ruled Out For Christmas Day Game

Lakers PG Lonzo Ball will be out for at least the next three games and has been ruled out for the Christmas Day game with the Minnesota Timberwolves – due to a left shoulder sprain, the team announced Sunday.

Ball, who suffered the injury during Saturday’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, will be re-evaluated in one week.

This will be the first time Ball has missed at games in his young career, playing in each of the Lakers’ first 31 contests.

It’s bad timing for Ball, who finally started to find its mark in recent weeks. Over his past eight games, Ball has shot 44.2 percent from the field and 41.3 percent from 3-point range, while filling the stat sheet with 13.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.5 blocks.
