NBA Releases Full 2017-2018 Schedule

After an offseason filled with blockbuster trades and free agent signings, the NBA has finally released the 2017-2018 Schedule. NBA.com released the schedule on their website, with all the dates and times for each matchup.

The NBA has witnessed history over the last three seasons, with the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers facing off in the last three NBA Finals. This rivalry has blossomed into a modern day ‘Lakers vs Celtics’ rivalry from the 1980’s and has captivated basketball fans all over the world. This year’s NBA Finals rematch will occur on Christmas Day, with LeBron James and the Cavaliers visiting Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

Last season, Kevin Durant redefined the power structure in the NBA by leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors. The regular season games between the Thunder and Warriors saw fights, chippy play, and earth-shaking boos, and left fans clamoring for more games between the two teams. This season, the Thunder have catapulted themselves into the top tier of the Western Conference by acquiring superstar Paul George. This will most definitely make the Thunder-Warriors clashes much more competitive and have fans praying for a playoff series between the two powerhouses. The first meeting between the two teams is on November 22nd in Oklahoma City.

Just as KD going back home to OKC had fans excited last season, Gordon Hayward’s return to Utah will have everyone glued to their couches. Hayward, who led the Jazz to the second round last season, signed a four-year deal with the Boston Celtics this offseason, leaving Salt Lake City with a bunch of burned Hayward jerseys. Hayward will return to Utah on March 28th.

One of the biggest blockbuster trades this offseason was Chris Paul getting shipped to Houston for half their roster. Paul, who never missed the playoffs during his tenure in LA, hit a rough patch with head coach Doc Rivers and decided that teaming up with James Harden was his best chance at reaching his first ever Conference Finals. CP3 returns to the Staples Center on December 15th.

With many high-profile players returning home along with numerous budding rivalries, this year’s NBA season promises to have intriguing match-ups night in and night out.
