Ramon Sessions Agrees To One-Year Deal With The Knicks

on

Unrestricted free agent Ramon Sessions has agreed to a one-year $2.3 million minimum deal with the New York Knicks, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania. Last season, Sessions averaged 6.2 points, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 rebounds over 50 games as a backup guard for the Charlotte Hornets.

Over his ten-year career, Sessions has been a solid backup guard for eight teams, including three stops with the Hornets. His journeyman career has led to averages of 10.6 points, 4.1 assists, and 1.5 rebounds.

Sessions will be joining a Knicks team that has been right in the middle of the Kyrie Irving trade rumors and marks the Knicks’ first signing under new general manager Scott Perry. The team moved on from Phil Jackson’s tumultuous tenure on June 28th.
