It wasn’t pretty, it wasn’t perfect, and It wasn’t even a sure thing for a while, but the Warriors managed to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 127-123 in Overtime on Wednesday night. It took a great night from Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry coming alive in OT to put away the young Lakers.

Durant led the Warriors with 29 Points and 7 Rebounds, while Curry scored 28 Points, with 13 of them coming in the overtime period. Klay Thompson chipped in 20 Points on 6/12 shooting, and Draymond Green filled up the stat sheet with a near triple-double: 15 Points, 11 Rebounds, and 9 Assists.

Brandon Ingram led all scorers with a career-high 32 Points, while Jordan Clarkson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope both had 21 Points. Lakers rookie PG Lonzo Ball also had a nice game, scoring 15 Points on 5/12 shooting while dishing out 10 Assists.

The game was relatively close throughout, with the Lakers pulling ahead by three with less than a minute to play in regulation following a Caldwell-Pope three-point play. The Warriors tied the game up at 109 on a Kevin Durant three with less than a minute to go. The Warriors got the ball back with 29 seconds to play, but Durant missed a contested jumper with 5.3 seconds remaining. Following a Lakers timeout, Ingram missed a game-winning contested layup at the buzzer to end regulation.

In the overtime period, Curry put the Warriors on his back, hitting two threes to start off the period, and the Warriors didn’t give up the lead after that. The Lakers had a chance to tie the game at 125 in a crazy loose ball sequence, however the Warriors recovered the ball and iced the game with two Curry free throws.

The Warriors continue their six-game road trip on Friday with a matchup against Aaron Gordon and the Orlando Magic, a team that the Warriors have beaten nine straight times. The Lakers travel to Denver to face the Nuggets on Saturday night.
