Wizards Officially Sign Brandon Jennings

on

After clearing waivers Wednesday afternoon, ex-Knick Brandon Jennings officially signed with the Washington Wizards. The deal is worth $1.2 million for the remainder of the season, Marc Stein of ESPN announced via Twitter.

The Wizards (35-23) own the third spot in the Eastern conference by percentage points over the Toronto Raptors. This season, DC has relied mostly on its starting five of John Wall, Bradley Beal, Otto Porter Jr, Markieff Morris, and Marcin Gortat to carry most of the weight. At the helm of the second unit, Jennings will provide scoring and rest time for Wall and Beal. Jennings averaged 8.6 points and 4.9 assists per game this season for the New York Knicks.
