Zach Randolph Arrested On Felony Charge Of Marijuana With The Intent To Sell

on

Sacramento Kings power forward Zach Randolph was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, according to the police reports. The reports detail that Randolph was arrested on a felony charge of marijuana possession with the intent to sell by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

According to TMZ, police arrived at the party around 10 pm and found a large crowd of people smoking and blocking the roadway.

“Three people were detained — including Randolph, who was eventually arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell, A FELONY. We’re told the “intent to sell” part was due to the large amount of weed found.”

Although recreational marijuana is legal in California, there are limits to how much a person can possess for it to be considered for this use. It is also still illegal at the federal level and a banned substance in the NBA.

Randolph signed a two-year $24 million contract with the Kings on July 10. He was coming off a season with the Memphis Grizzlies that saw him average 14.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 73 games.
